Manufacturers, in India, are now considering the option of shipping products to the United States in ships that can transport goods to distant ports in North America and the Caribbean. Vessels equipped with the latest equipment, such as cranes and propulsion systems, make it much easier to ship in bulk goods such as steel, cement and plastics. To ship, such vessels are usually converted to haul out their own cargo, while providing loading and unloading services. But shipping goods from India to the United States and other foreign markets is becoming difficult due to the shortage of transport vessels. It is therefore essential to invest in the service sector of the economy to satisfy the growing demand of consumers and the necessity to export.
